Abstract
La adopción de tecnología es un proceso complejo, que requiere analizarse de manera integral a través del tiempo. Esta investigación se realizó en 2014-2015, en dos comunidades indígenas del estado de Morelos: Barranca Honda y Cuentepec. El objetivo fue conocer el nivel de adopción y eficiencia en la cocción de alimentos con la Estufa Ahorradora de Leña “Tlecalli” (EALT). Se aplicaron 83 cuestionarios y 12 entrevistas (por hogar) complementadas con observación participante, registro fotográfico y videos. Los resultados son: un 85% a 95% continúan utilizando su EALT, con una eficiencia de más del 60% en ahorro de leña. La adopción se considera exitosa, después de más de siete años de haberse instalado, mejora el ambiente de sus hogares (libre de humo), así como su calidad y confort de vida respecto a la acción de cocinar.
