Abstract
En este artículo de reflexión se analizan los aspectos metodológicos y epistemológicos de artículos derivados de investigación cualitativa sobre el fenómeno de vivir con una terapia de sustitución de la función renal (TSFR), publicados durante los últimos años. La reflexión emerge como parte de un metaestudio sobre las TSFR. Para ello, se describen cada una de las etapas del metaestudio y algunos hallazgos que sirven para ilustrar las contradicciones y los vacíos de las publicaciones, a luz de las premisas del paradigma cualitativo de investigación. En términos generales, este análisis pone en tensión los procesos de investigación cualitativa, y su publicación, sobre las experiencias de personas en TSFR, ya que se reproducen procesos de lo cuantitativo y, sobre todo, porque se conceptualiza la salud, la enfermedad y a las personas desde la lógica positivista.
