Abstract
This article has a mission to understand and to interpret the image that certain intellectuals and representatives Brazilian diplomats were made of themselves and of the Mexican revolution among 1923-1934. Without losing of view the historical context, the speeches are analyzed emitted from different categories of perception by identified actors with diverse thought currents. Particular emphasis is put in the influence that the evolution theories and the authoritarian ideologies had, in the language of the conservative elites as well as those of left ideas. With such a purpose, the author appeals to reports, occasionally confidential and to several texts published or not.
