Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • El envío no ha sido publicado previamente ni se ha enviado previamente a otra revista (o se ha proporcionado una explicación en Comentarios al / a la editor/a).
  • El archivo enviado está en formato Microsoft Word, fuente Times New Roman de 12 puntes, a doble espacios y con márgenes de 2,5 cm.
  • El archivo incluye un resumen, cinco palabras clave, un abstract (traducción al inglés del resumen) y cinco key words (traducción de las palabras clave).
  • Las imágenes se enviarán a apuntes@javeriana.edu.co; están numeradas FIG 1, FIG 2, etcétera; su lugar de inserción y pie de figura están marcados en el texto del artículo.
  • Una de las imágenes es marcada ";;IMAGEN PORTADILLA";;, es de formato vertical y es de tamaño mínimo de 21x29 centimetros a 300 dpi o 2100x2850 pixeles (6 megapixeles).

Author Guidelines

Se solicita respetuosamente a los autores verificar la Lista de Comprobación, antes de enviar el artículo por primera vez a través de la plataforma OJS de la Revista. Este proceso realizado por parte de los autores, siguiendo de forma precisa los 5 pasos de la Lista de Comprobación, garantiza que el proceso editorial de cada artículo tengo un inicio más expedito. El Equipo Editorial hace en primera instancia el chequeo de pertinencia temática del artículo y de inmediato chequea los 5 requisitos de la Lista de Comprobación. Este primer filtro, define si el artículo sigue o no el proceso editorial, que de inmediato pasa a una lectura premiliminar por parte del mismo equipo, para posteriormente ser asignado a los arbitros, garantizando desde ahí el modelo de arbitraje denominado: doble ciego.

Thus, this work may be reproduced, distributed, and publicly shared in digital format, as long as the names of the authors and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana are acknowledged. Others are allowed to quote, adapt, transform, auto-archive, republish, and create based on this material, for any purpose (even commercial ones), provided the authorship is duly acknowledged, a link to the original work is provided, and it is specified if changes have been made. Pontificia Universidad Javeriana does not hold the rights of published works and the authors are solely responsible for the contents of their works; they keep the moral, intellectual, privacy, and publicity rights.

Approving the intervention of the work (review, copy-editing, translation, layout) and the following outreach, are granted through an use license and not through an assignment of rights. This means the journal and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana cannot be held responsible for any ethical malpractice by the authors. As a consequence of the protection granted by the use license, the journal is not required to publish recantations or modify information already published, unless the errata stems from the editorial management process. Publishing contents in this journal does not generate royalties for contributors. 

Privacy Statement

The names and e-mail addresses entered in this magazine will be used exclusively for the purposes stated by this magazine and will not be available for any other purpose or to any other person.

In accordance with the Statutory Law 1581 of 2012 on Data Protection and concordant norms, the Holder is informed that, by voluntarily providing and registering his/her data in the channels enabled on the Website, he/she authorizes for them to be incorporated in a database under the responsibility of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana being processed for the purpose of carrying out associative, cultural, recreational, sporting and social activities, cultural, recreational, sports and social activities, management of social media and/or editorial content, historical, scientific or statistical purposes, administrative procedures and publications and accounting, fiscal, administrative and advertising management and commercial prospecting - Own advertising. I also authorize that my personal images may be published in print, audiovisual media, website and institutional social networks.

It is optional to provide information about Sensitive Data, understood as those that affect privacy or generate some kind of discrimination, or about minors.

You may exercise your rights of access, correction, deletion, revocation or claim for infringement of the data, by writing to Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, to the email address usodedatos@javeriana.edu.co, indicating in the subject the right you wish to exercise, or by regular mail sent to the address: Carrera 7 # 40 - 62 in the city of Bogota.
