Abstract
This essay shows an urban and architectural vision of the transformation of Buenos Aires, around the May revolution in 1910. This success marked the highest moment of a transformation process based on the ideas of modernity and progress; clearly stated in the buildings at that time- including the ephemeral buildings raised by the centenary expositions.
