Resumen
El presente estudio evaluó las propiedades psicométricas de la Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) en una muestra de adultos peruanos (N = 397). Se aplicó la versión en español de la SCS (26 ítems, respuesta ordinal de cinco puntos) mediante un cuestionario en línea. Para examinar su estructura interna, se compararon un modelo CFA de seis factores correlacionados, un bifactor-CFA y un bifactor-ESEM, estimados con WLSMV. El CFA de seis factores mostró ajuste deficiente y el bifactor-CFA no alcanzó una solución admisible, mientras que el bifactor-ESEM fue la única solución estable e interpretable, con excelente ajuste (CFI = 0.987, TLI = 0.974, RMSEA = 0.048, SRMR = 0.018). Los índices bifactor evidenciaron alta confiabilidad del puntaje total (ωH = 0.87; ECV-G = 0.75) y confiabilidad específica incremental limitada para la mayoría de las subescalas (ωHS = 0.26–0.54), con mayor consistencia para mindfulness (ωHS = 0.66). La validez convergente fue consistente con lo esperado. En conjunto, los resultados respaldan el uso prioritario del puntaje total de la SCS en adultos peruanos y sugieren cautela al interpretar las subescalas.
