Resumen
Las experiencias adversas en la infancia se vinculan con efectos negativos duraderos en la salud física y mental. Uno de estos efectos es precisamente, la probabilidad de un mayor riesgo de victimización en la edad adulta, especialmente en contextos de violencia de género. Este estudio analiza la relación entre estas experiencias y la sintomatología asociada a la salud mental (ansiedad, depresión y estrés), y manifestaciones somáticas, en mujeres víctimas de violencia de género en España. Las participantes fueron 92 mujeres con un rango de edad entre los 18 - 71 años (M = 41.26, DT = 10.83), incluidas en un programa para mujeres víctimas de violencia de género y/o en riesgo de exclusión social. Se utilizaron los siguientes instrumentos: Experiencias Adversas en la Infancia, Listado de Quejas Somáticas y Escala de Depresión, Ansiedad y Estrés. Los resultados revelaron que las experiencias adversas infantiles se asociaban de manera más consistente con indicadores de salud mental (depresión, ansiedad y estrés, problemas psicológicos, etc.), pero no con variables de salud física (quejas somáticas). Se subraya la necesidad de integrar las experiencias adversas infantiles en las evaluaciones de salud mental y violencia de género, además de la incorporación de un enfoque basado en el trauma en las intervenciones.
