Abstract

The anonymous servant from the Book of Isaiah 52-53 sends a novel message to the readers from his time and becomes a voice for readers at all times. This article aims at covering novel theological
topics addressed in the text from Is 52, 13-53, 12, focusing on his mission, choice and sacrifice as theological categories for Israeli thought, within the framework of exile. The starting point in this study is a contextual and literary approach to the text as fundamental aspects to tackle his theology.
