Abstract
Se estudian las transformaciones y los conflictos socioambientales en la jach ´a puna, en el sur peruano. Los resultados muestran cambios institucionales y ecosistémicos que se aceleraron hace cinco décadas por la intervención del Estado y la incursión de las empresas mineras transnacionales, las cuales utilizan intensivamente el agua, lo que ha provocado que los territorios y las relaciones humanas se complejicen y reconfiguren creando situaciones que podrían tener graves consecuencias para la crianza de camélidos andinos y el aprovisionamiento de agua en las cuencas. Esto genera impactos en la hidrobiodiversidad y en las organizaciones tradicionales de la región.Ambiente y Desarrollo is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
