Abstract
El trabajo caracteriza la experiencia de las estufas ahorradoras de leña en Santana Ana Nichi y San Agustín Mextepec. La información recopilada en una muestra de hogares en 2011, muestra que el origen indígena de los pobladores, el rezago social y la racionalidad para satisfacer sus necesidades energéticas en condiciones de contingencia, aunado a las deficiencias en la gestión, operación y seguimiento de los proyectos, explican el bajo nivel de apropiación de la tecnología en el ámbito local y la dificultad para alcanzar las metas de una estrategia nacional, cuyo impacto en la reducción de la pobreza, la contaminación interior y la mitigación del cambio climático, no ha sido evaluadoAmbiente y Desarrollo is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
