Abstract

El presente artículo aborda los resultados de la investigación sobre las organizaciones pesqueras en el lago de Chapala en los estados de Michoacán y Jalisco, México. La pertinencia de este estudio se debe a que en este momento existen desafíos para los pescadores frente a los cambios socioambientales suscitados en el lago y a la profundización de la crisis en la pesca artesanal, por lo que en este trabajo se da cuenta de la problemática social y ambiental que afecta a este importante sector en ambos estados.
