Abstract
El cambio climático puede resultar en transformación y pérdida de la biodiversidad, afectación de servicios ecosistémicos y de las comunidades humanas que dependen de ellos para su bienestar y la respuesta al fenómeno. Con el fin de orientar la gestión de la biodiversidad frente al cambio climático se deben conocer múltiples aspectos, más allá de los biológicos y fisiológicos. En este trabajo se plantean cuatro ejes temáticos para generar conocimiento, de manera amplia e integral, para apoyar la gestión de la biodiversidad ante el fenómeno climático. Estos ejes son: i) Dinámica ecológica y cambio climático; ii) Biodiversidad y servicios ecosistémicos; iii) Biodiversidad y el sistema climático y, iv) Biodiversidad y las respuestas de la sociedad frente al cambio climático.
