Abstract
El Jardín Botánico de Bogotá realiza acciones de investigación para la conservacióny uso sostenible de la diversidad vegetal. En este marco de trabajo, en los
corregimientos de Nazareth y San Juan, en la localidad 20 del Distrito Capital se
efectuó una caracterización socioambiental mediante diagnósticos ambientales
participativos. En ellos se evidenciaron conflictos relacionados con la tenencia de
la tierra y su uso agropecuario, dentro de un área de protección y manejo especial,
con ecosistemas de páramo, traslapada con el Parque Nacional Natural Sumapaz.
La iniciativa surge desde la subdirección científica del Jardín Botánico que busca la
vinculación de actores sociales en el Distrito Capital, en su misión como entidad de
investigación y desarrollo científico.
