Abstract
Este aartículo identifica la relación entre pobreza y vivienda tanto en lo conceptual como en el panorama de Bogotá. Primero se aborda el paso de la concepción de la pobreza como falta de ingresos a aquellos enfoques muldimensionales. Luego se analizan los posibles impactos del acceso a la vivienda en la pobreza, en que los programas convencionales de vivienda, tal y como están concebidos, pueden desembocar en pobreza inducida por vivienda y nueva pobreza urbana. Finalmente, según la Encuesta de Calidad de Vida del 2007, se evidencian, para el caso de Bogotá, relaciones importantes entre la pobreza y en vivienda de los hogares. Se concluye que hay una necesidad de reorientar estructuralmente las políticas habitacionales, en términos de sus objetivos, en cuanto a la reducción de la pobreza.
