Abstract
The natural space that corresponds to the urban stretch of the Albarregas River has allowed the internal assignment of urban uses without the due process of sector planning. To propitiate the adequate conditions for its development as a public space and to structure the right scenario for other more controlled urban uses is the central objective of this article. The approach is realized through processes of investigation and action, first developing a referential, theoretical frame and defining the interest that the “University of Los Andes” has in carrying out the project. Thus, two of the formulated strategic lines are undertaken to move forward the development of the park: the urban habilitation and the appropriation of the park. In closing, the text presents some general conclusion to continue with the development of both lines, as part of the driving strategy, which seeks to concretize the completion of the Albarregas Metropolitan Park.
