Abstract
Desde los años setenta en distintas ciudades colombianas se han desarrollado experiencias de Mejoramiento Barrial o Urbano, bien por iniciativa de gobiernos locales o con el concurso del gobierno nacional y de agencias de cooperación y financiación para el desarrollo. Estas experiencias no han tenido un desarrollo homogéneo, dependiendo de múltiples variables para su realización. Sin embargo, a pesar de la experiencia avanzada de algunos gobiernos locales, ha sido imposible que estas se conviertan en referente para el desarrollo de una política nacional o para que su institucionalización garantice la continuidad de algunas propuestas trascendentes para contribuir desde el Estado a la superación de la pobreza y la informalidad urbana.This journal is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
