Abstract
O objetivo desta investigação é construir uma metodologia, através de indicadores de riscos naturais e riscos sociais, para identificação, análise e intervenção em áreas de riscos socioambientais urbanos. A pesquisa é desenvolvida por um grupo interdisciplinar, ligado à Universidade do extremo Sul Catarinense-Brasil. A metodologia da pesquisa segue a abordagem interdisciplinar, com seminários sistemáticos de estudos teóricos, pesquisa de campo. O resultado esperado é a produção de um software com indicadores para medir os riscos socioambientais e a construção de uma metodologia de intervenção e mitigação desses riscos em áreas urbanas. Foram identificadas 29 áreas de riscos socioambientais na cidade de Criciúma-Brasil. Os riscos identificados foram assim classificados: geotécnicos; áreas mineradas; áreas alagáveis; faixas de domínio (rodovias, ferrovias e linhas de alta tensão);áreas de proteção ambiental e ou de preservação permanente; altos índices de vulnerabilidade social, e grau elevado de violência urbana.
