Abstract
O presente trabalho consiste em estudo de caso da produção de habitação de interesse social com recursos do Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida – PMCMV, política pública implantada desde 2009, voltada para o enfrentamento do déficit habitacional no Brasil e maior alcance a moradia digna. Tem como objeto de estudo o Conjunto Habitacional Albino Meneguetti direcionado às famílias de zero a três salários mínimos, localizado em Maringá- Brasil. Trata-se de um recorte de pesquisa nacional iniciada em 2010 e que integra o Projeto CNPq/INSTITUTOS NACIONAIS: Observatório das Metrópoles. Investiga a conceituação de moradia digna, estuda a legislação vigente e o desenvolvimento das políticas públicas direcionadas para produção de habitação de interesse social. Realiza a identificação dos atores deste processo, analisa documentos de seleção das famílias atendidas e o projeto do empreendimento. Como resultado tem-se que apesar da redução do déficit habitacional no país, mantêm-se a histórica periferização da pobreza.
