Abstract
La ciudad de Medellín en su proceso de revisión y ajuste del POT 2005–2008, incorporó e institucionalizó el Sistema Habitacional3 y el Plan Estratégico Habitacional, en armonía con el Objetivo 7 de Desarrollo de las Metas del Milenio (ODM): Garantizar la sostenibilidad del medio ambiente, en sus Metas 10: Acceso a agua potable y saneamiento básico acueducto y alcantarillado al año 2020" y, 11: Disminuir el número de hogares que habitan en asentamientos precarios, mediante las líneas de acción de -ciudades amables- detener y prevenir la formación de nuevos asentamientos precarios y atender los asentamientos precarios existentes.
