Abstract

The complexity that characterizes the current territorial systems requires a change in the conception of the instruments leading their development. Experience shows that traditional forms of planning have been overcome, among other reasons, because the knowledge available in this field is insufficient to explain the complex problems that characterize territorial scopes. Public performances have managed to partially solve the current complexity and, from the field of the Planning Theory, the analysis aims at exploring the contributions of the communicative approach as an emerging paradigm in our field of knowledge. Furthermure, it contributes to the the renewal of the current territorial intervention schemes that favor participation and social consensus.
