Abstract
En este artículo se analiza la manera como se conforma el mercado de trabajo transitorioen la producción vitícola del Valle de Uco, provincia de Mendoza, Argentina. Partiendo
del enfoque de la regulación social de los mercados de trabajo, el artículo profundiza en la
comprensión del funcionamiento de este mercado a partir de la incorporación de dimensiones
“sociales” subestimadas en las explicaciones más tradicionales sobre esta temática
centradas en aspectos técnico-productivos. En este sentido, se analiza la manera en que la
regulación normativa vigente en el territorio, las modalidades y funciones asumidas por
los agentes de intermediación laboral y las estrategias contractuales de los empresarios de
la región, resultan aspectos centrales en la conformación de los rasgos de transitoriedad.
Dichos hallazgos se sustentan en una estrategia de abordaje eminentemente cualitativa
basada en entrevistas semi-estructuradas a los principales actores del mercado de trabajo
mencionado empresarios, trabajadores, intermediarios y funcionarios públicos realizadas
entre los años 2005 y 2009.
