Abstract
El presente artículo tiene por objetivo presentar un análisis del proceso de desagrarización en México, a fin de identificar las tendencias generales y las perspectivas de desagrarización que ha sufrido el país. El proceso de desagrarización para el caso de México no es reciente; sin embargo, se ha acelerado de manera importante durante las tres últimas décadas, asociado a un periodo de estancamiento de la producción agropecuaria y a las políticas públicas que han promovido una mayor especialización de las unidades productivas. El documento concluye que, este proceso de desagrarización trae consigo un incremento en los niveles de pobreza y migración, lo cual ha obligado a las familias rurales a implementar diversas estrategias de subsistencia. De esta forma, se plantea la necesidad de avanzar en una visión regional de las políticas públicas que consideren las diferencias a nivel regional, una mayor inversión en infraestructura y en capital humano.Cuadernos de Desarrollo Ruralis registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
