Abstract
El trabajo pretende mostrar cómo a partir de la iniciativa de miembros de unamisma familia de inmigrantes pioneros se producen transformaciones en el área
de horticultura periurbana de la ciudad de Río Cuarto (Córdoba, República
Argentina), ligadas a estrategias de tipo productivo y avances en la comercialización
de dichos productos en el área de referencia, en un lapso aproximado de 20 años,
sobre la base del desarrollo de comportamientos singulares, a partir de las ventajas
que les proporcionan sus peculiaridades étnicas, la adopción del modelo clan
como institución estructurante del mercado de trabajo, su condición de
transmigrantes, y la inserción de sus miembros en redes sociales fuertes.
