Abstract
En los espacios rurales del Brasil la globalización provoca cada vez más procesos de fragmentación, que resultan principalmente en el empobrecimiento y la marginalización de los campesinos. Con eso los campesinos son desplazados para regiones ecológica y socioeconómicamente desfavorables. Así son excluidos de círculos económicos nacionales y de la vida social y política. Por ejemplo, las comunidades rurales son distintas en la región de Cáceres, ubicada en el estado de Mato Grosso cerca del límite con Bolivia, donde esos procesos de exclusión son analizados. Además, las estrategias de supervivencia de las familias demuestran las condiciones en las cuales los campesinos luchan contra la pobreza.
