Abstract
El propósito de este artículo es dar una mirada crítica a las relaciones entre lo rural y lo urbano, a la luz de un fenómeno particular: las interacciones “cara a cara” entre sujetos catalogables como adscritos a una u otra categoría. Partiendo de que la construcción de un mundo híbrido entre lo rural y lo urbano es el resultado del encuentro entre sujetos, la trama gira en torno a la cotidianidad de sus vidas. Al ser los sujetos su sustento empírico, las divergencias y convergencias, las proximidades y distanciamientos, así como los ajustes y desajustes al orden preestablecido, todos resultado del encuentro intersubjetivo, definen la gama de posibles realidades. En este mismo sentido, buscando establecer un puente entre lo abstracto y lo concreto, lo dicho se sustenta en un referente real: el caso Xochimilco, zona rural de la Ciudad de México.
