Abstract
Los Sistemas de Traspatio de Producción Lechera (STPL), son unidades productivasque han permanecido en la ciudad de México, en zonas urbanas y periurbanas. Eneste estudio se muestran los resultados del papel que desempeña la mujer en estaactividad, al mismo tiempo que las actividades domésticas, los beneficios ylimitantes, así como los satisfactores tangibles e intangibles que son obtenidos. Laimportancia de estos sistemas se encontró en la versatilidad económica, que apoyael autoconsumo y venta, elaboración de productos, y sobre todo en la utilizaciónde desechos orgánicos provenientes de la industria alimenticia, desperdicios demercados y cocina.Cuadernos de Desarrollo Ruralis registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
