Abstract
La seguridad alimentaria es una preocupación mundial y se entiende como el acceso y ladisponibilidad permanente de los alimentos necesarios para una vida sana y activa. Lavereda Los Medios del municipio de Sonsón, en el departamento de Antioquia, sobresalepor su tecnificación en café2 y es el escenario de este trabajo.Para hacer una evaluación de la seguridad alimentaria con una visión integral, se hizo elanálisis de los patrones de consumo de alimentos actuales e históricos, se caracterizaronlos sistemas de producción allí presentes y se construyó un indicador.El punto de partida estuvo en reunir elementos que respondieran los siguientes interrogantes:¿ Qué percepción tienen los campesinos de la vereda seleccionada sobre la seguridadalimentaria?¿Ha variado el patrón de consumo de alimentos en la vereda seleccionada?¿Cómo se afecta la seguridad alimentaria en una región cafetera tecnificada?· ¿ Cómo se construye una herramienta de medición de la seguridad alimentaria, en laque se fusionen las visiones de la comunidad participante y la del investigador?· ¿Existen riesgos alimentarios en los sistemas de producción cafeteros allí presentes?Cuadernos de Desarrollo Ruralis registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
