Abstract
ResumenMagdalena León, Carmen Diana Deere, La mujerrural y la reforma agraria en Colombia. Cuadernosde desarrollo Rural N" 38 Y 39, primer y segundosemestres de 1997, Santa Fe de Bogotá, páginas:7-23.Este artfculo señala que Colombia sobresale comoIfder progresista en el contexto latinoamericano, encuanto a normas legales acerca del acceso de lasmujeres a la tierra y sus derechos sobre la misma. Lasautoras argumentan las razones por las cuales elacceso directo de las mujeres a la tierra es un temaimportante; hacen una revisión de la legislación agrariareciente y del proceso mediante el cual esta fueaprobada; señalan que el papel que desempeñó laAsociación Nacional de Mujeres Campesinas e Indfgenas,ANMUCIC, fue crucial para establecer laprioridad que la legislación otorgó tanto a las mujeresjefas de hogar como ala titulación conjunta de la tierraa las parejas. La aplicación de las normas muestra queaunque la ley de reforma agraria de 1994 ha tenidocomo resultado un aumento del número de mujeresbeneficiarias en las adjudicaciones recientes aún faltamucho camino por recorrer para lograr equidad degénero.
