Abstract
Se demuestra el protagonismo de las tecnologías de origen científico en la maduración del capitalismo agrario latinoamericano durante las tres últimas décadas. Desde el materialismo dialéctico como método y posicionamiento epistemológico se concluye que: el paquete de la revolución verde dejó inconcluso el proceso de asalarización en el agro. En cambio, las nuevas tecnologías, sustentadas en esquemas productivos para el mercado global sí permiten: (a) abstraer relativamente a la agricultura de sus ritmos naturales; (b) incrementos sustanciales en la capacidad productiva del trabajo y los suelos; (c) vigorizar la acumulación bajo el esquema de los agronegocios; (d) liberar trabajadores de la economía campesina y la propia agroempresa; y (e) arraigar los nexos salariales como forma predominante de generación de valor.
