Abstract

Chile ha reducido de manera acelerada sus niveles de pobreza, especialmente en áreas rurales. A lo anterior,se suman las transformaciones en diversos ámbitos que han experimentado los espacios rurales que han dadopaso a una nueva ruralidad. Este estudio permite cuantificar la importancia de estos cambios estructuralesacaecidos sobre las áreas rurales y urbanas para el período comprendido entre los años 2000 y 2011 sobre lareducción de la pobreza. Los resultados de esta investigación advierten un cambio profundo en la interacciónde los hogares rurales con su entorno.
