Resumen
The main objective of this work was to measure, based on social and economic indicators, the effectiveness of rural extension actions carried out in traditional communities. As a result, there were improvements in food security, satisfaction with housing, fixation in rural areas, income diversification, and access to credit, among others. Simultaneously, we highlight that some deficiencies deserve attention, such as the farmers’ low level of education, little participation in associations, conditions of access routes to the properties, and commercialization strategies for products produced by the families.
