Abstract
En este artículo se presentan algunos de los resultados y análisis obtenidos alprocesar estadísticamente una de las principales bases de datos que se llevan
actualmente (y desde el año 1998) sobre población en situación de desplazamiento
forzado en Colombia, como es el sistema de información RUT. Se hace particular
énfasis en composición por edad y sexo y variables tales como educación antes y
después del desplazamiento, ocupación actual y anterior, trayectorias de desplazamiento
y actores expulsores, entre otras. De los resultados obtenidos vale la pena
destacar los efectos negativos en términos de asistencia escolar, de desempeño
laboral actual y el que consideramos más grave, la alta tasa de mortalidad de
hombres en edades productivas, que reflejan la situación a nivel nacional.
