El artículo analiza la situación de la enfermería colombiana al término del siglo XX y comienzos del XXI, en lo relacionado con las prácticas de salud, y dentro de ellas su ejercicio profesional, y lo referente a la situación legal y gremial de quien lo ejerce. Hace hincapié, así mismo, en el impacto de la Ley 100 de 1993 o Ley de Seguridad Social en Salud en la práctica de la enfermería en Colombia.

Abstract

This article present an analysis of the current situation of Colombian nursing at the end of the 20th and beginnings of the 21st century, focused on health practices -professional practices among them- and in regard to the legal and guild situation of the practitioner. It is focused likewise on the impact caused by the law 100 of 1993 or Ler de Seguridad Social en Salud (Law of Social security in Health) in the practice of nursing in Colombia.
