Abstract
Introducción. El artículo contextualiza el análisis microeconómico del sector farmacéutico en cuanto al comportamiento del consumidor, el productor y el mercado. El estar ubicados en un mismo renglón no ha implicado una mejora en su interacción. Materiales y Métodos. El análisis institucional funge como herramienta metodológica para allanar el análisis. Resultados. Es importante reconocer la conducta económica del consumidor de los productos farmacéuticos y de los medicamentos. Discusión. El papel cumplido por las empresas y laboratorios dedicados a la producción de dichos recursos frente a la capacidad del mercado para equilibrar el comportamiento del consumidor con el productor en el sector farmacéutico. Conclusiones. La búsqueda de conexión entre los segmentos del sector farmacéutico, está ausente de la discusión planteada en los mercados.
