Abstract
This article will present advances in the research concerning the effects of the migration of populations originally from Africa that live along the Chica Coast of Guerrero in Mexico. The work begins with the historic impact of the arrival, of Africans, to this area of New Spain and I hope to explain that, as an effect of the recurring economic crises, a growing number of Afromexicans of this region migrate toward the United States.This reality brings diverse effects to the population that remains in the community of origin in Mexico. In this case, I hope to emphasize the revitalization that is observed in the community festivals, such as the celebrations of domestic groups, like weddings. In a parallel way, the community creates and recreates new phenomenon among the young who return, and who behave and are seen as cholos, which creates certain tensions in their towns.
