Abstract
The complexity and water issues and their possible solution, has been restricted to technical and scientific analysis, reducing the problem to health reasons and public health, pollution and infrastructure. Consequently this vision has usually been alien to the socio-environmental interpretation, or to search for solutions to conflicts that access and use of water often triggered in social groups, ignoring the potential that a complex analysis of the relationship society - Nature can throw for the understanding so acute problem and the approach of possible solutions. The aim of this brief is to contribute to this general purpose, to link historical research in analysis and solution of environmental conflicts, bringing a rich literature on the subject, relatively unexplored in the history of water in Bogotá. To this end, some will be discussed working on a river Tunjuelo, a water source and importance in the development of urban space in the city. The journal Memoria y Sociedad is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
