Abstract
This essay attempts to show the importance of considering other disciplines when studying history, thinking in terms of trans-disciplinarity. In order to achieve this, the example of Robert Darnton will be considered, given that, from the discipline of history, he has appropiated and used the theoretical stucture of Clifford Geertz in the field of Anthropology.
