Abstract

Published by the Javeriana University, the text has six chapters, a prologue interview with Jesús Martín Barbero and an epilogue. Recognized academics and researchers in the field of reception and audiences studies in Colombia, such as Jorge Bonilla (Eafit University), Mónica Castaño (Javeriana University of Cali), Ómar Rincón and Jimena Zuluaga (Universidad de los Andes), with the aim of answer a basic question in these multimedia times: where do the audiences go? They present a necessary book for the academic community (teachers, students, researchers), as well as for those who work in the media, especially television, because it helps to see the course taken by the subjects in their role as audiences and as users of technologies, in a world of convergences, a scenario of mutation and experimentation.
