Abstract

Este era el tema de la UCIP (Unión Católica Internacional de Prensa) en el congreso mundial de Graz - Austria, que se realizó del 9 al 18 de septiembre de 1995. El tema es de gran actualidad ya que periodistas, periódicos y medios audiovisuales se ven continuamente confrontados con la violencia hasta convertirse en víctimas directas. Hubo casos como el de un periodista de Burundi quien presentó su testimonio y no pudo revelar su nombre; o el del periodista croata quien reveló su horror y dolor ante la violencia de la antigua Yugoslavia. Por otro lado el cardenal Martini -Arzobispo de Milán- invitó a revisar la Biblia ya ser sembradores de paz haciendo referencia a Juan 4, 37.
