Abstract
La Sagrada Escritura no afirma en ninguna parte, con palabras explícitas, que los bienes de la tierra tengan una destinación universal. Así expresado, este principio es producto del desarrollo teológico de la Iglesia, que, vertiéndolo en un molde más propio de nuestra cultura occidental, enseña lo mismo que la Escritura en módulos, géneros literarios y con el desarrollo histórico propio de Israel, en el Antiguo Testamento, y del tránsito de esta doctrina a los nuevos horizontes universales abiertos por Jesucristo. En este artículo mi intención es proponer algunos de los momentos más salientes de esta doctrina, a la luz de su revelación progresiva en la Palabra Divina.
