Abstract

The concern over what some authors have called the failure of humanistic education received in certain surroundings as the family, the school, and the public sphere, and through sciences such as philosophy, theology, sociology, politics, among others, leads us to the question about the possibilities of human education from the particular perspective of a theologian. With this purpose in mind a reflection is carried on spirituality as a source for the theological task and the contribution of a teaching theologian towards a humanistic formation in higher education.
