Abstract

El presente artículo es una reflexión sobre el contexto en el que se inscribe la actual conciencia bíblica de la Iglesia Católica después del Concilio Vaticano II. Ubica el pontificado del papa Juan Pablo II y el impulso que él mismo ha dado a los estudios bíblicos, y por ende, a la investigación, a la docencia, al trabajo pastoral y ecuménico en una perspectiva eclesial marcada por la Sagrada Escritura como fuente de espiritualidad. En este mismo ámbito adquiere significado el documento de la Pontificia Comisión Bíblica sobre la “Interpretación de la Biblia en la Iglesia”, efecto directo de las preocupaciones del santo Padre respecto de la fe y a la vida cristiana.
