El aporte de Juan Pablo II a la doctrina social de la Iglesia

Abstract

No podemos desconocer la labor infatigable que el papa Juan Pablo II ha realizado en materia de doctrina social. Sus diferentes intervenciones y acciones en favor de los menos favorecidos, como su posición ante situaciones de conflicto, guerra, hambre, donde se hace evidente la intervención de la Iglesia, han tenido a lo largo de las últimas décadas un verdadero sabor a Evangelio y un tono profético de implicaciones reales en el tejido social del contexto mundial. Las encíclicas sociales promulgadas en el actual pontificado Laborem Exercens, Sollicitudo Rei Socialis y Centesimus Annus, son documentos de primer orden que testimonian directamente el derrotero que el papa Karol Wojtila ha querido legar en materia social para un mundo que ha sido protagonista y artífice actual de la ausencia de paz, el desequilibrio ecológico y las diversas y sofisticadas formas de acabar con la vida en el planeta.
