Abstract
El islam es la civilización monoteísta más polémica y controvertida de la historia de la humanidad y la de más rápido crecimiento en el mundo actual. Uno de los pilares fundamentales de la sharia (ley islámica) es la yihad, la lucha por la causa de Dios y la defensa del islam. Este noble principio ha sufrido complejas deformaciones por parte de musulmanes y no musulmanes, pero muy especialmente por los oligopolios mediáticos. Los nefastos acontecimientos del 11 de septiembre
de 2001 pusieron en evidencia esta realidad. El diálogo entre civilizaciones es un imperativo de nuestra era: “Todos en el mismo plano sin diferencias ni desigualdades.” Sea que lo entendamos o no, a nosotros los hijos de Abraham nos asiste la mayor responsabilidad.
