Abstract
Un estudio diligente de la historia exige tener presente el interés de su lectura, de tal forma, que al realizar un corte trasversal o un análisis coyuntural de alguno de sus períodos, se pueda acceder a los acontecimientos que marcaron hito. Los autores del presente artículo asumieron el corte trasversal de la época del renacimiento, desde la perspectiva de género, para analizar los sucesos que develan el género, en especial, el papel protagónico de la mujer en los campos de la iconografía, el cuerpo y la educación, que hoy se constituirían en herramientas de lectura acerca de la sexualidad, el reconocimiento y respeto de los derechos de la mujer, y la necesidad de releer la historia desde la categoría de género.This journal is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
