Abstract

Este análisis exegético de Hechos 2,38 muestra que la frase «Conviértanse y háganse bautizar cada uno en nombre de Jesucristo para el perdón de sus pecados, y recibirán el don del Espíritu Santo», no se puede considerar una cláusula condicional sino que se debe considerar una cláusula consecutiva–ilativa. La función narrativa de esta sección confirma que la recepción del Espíritu Santo no tiene condiciones previas y muestra además que el bautismo sella el designio salvífico de Dios. Esta frase es, pues, una exhortación cristológica correspondiente con la promesa davídica, y una extensión universal de dicha promesa.
