How to Cite
Abstract
La Conferencia de Santo Domingo se llevóa cabo en el mes de octubre de 1992.
En los encuentros, conferencias, paneles y seminarios realizados después de dicho evento, las principales preguntas de los participantes han sido las siguientes: ¿Santo Domingo es un retroceso con relación a Medellín y Puebla?; ¿Porque tuvo tan poca repercusión pública una Conferencia de tanta importancia?; ¿al fin, cuál fue el aporte de Santo Domingo?; ¿en qué queda la teología de la liberación y las otras novedades de la Iglesia en este continente?; y, finalmente, ¿qué perspectiva tiene la iglesia hacia el futuro?
El presente texto busca responder a estas preguntas. Se colocan algunas pinceladas, a partir de las cuales sea posible comprender más fácilmente lo ocurrido en la isla caribeña, leer el documento final y continuar el trabajo de transformaciones sociales y eclesiales en América Latina.
