Abstract

Alannado por algunos sÚltomas, Jaime, unjoven homosexual de 25 años, se presenta a su médico. Este, hechos los exámenes indicados, comprueba un caso sero-positivo de HIV. El paciente solicita a su médico tratamiento, rogándole al mismo tiempo la mayor reserva posible, por temor a discriminación de trato entre sus amigos y familiares, y sobre todo por temor a perder su empleo en un banco de la ciudad. Con todo, el doctor le advierte la obligación que tiene, como médico, de reportar el caso a la oficina de epidemiología del Ministerio de Salud. Le llama la atención sobre el riesgo que corren, sobre todo, su o sus compañeros de vida sexual y además sus familiares y amigos.
