Abstract
El jueves 16 de noviembre de 1989 la noticia de que seis jesuitas habían sido masacrados en la Universidad de El Salvador, hizo en pocos minutos el giro del mundo. Muy conocidas son las diversas reacciones públicas al criminal evento, como las expresiones de consternación, protesta, condena del cobarde asesinato, y de solidaridad con la Compañía de Jesús y en particular con la Provincia Centroamericana. Menos conocidas son otras, como el inmediato ofrecimiento de innumerables jesuitas al Padre General para sustituir en la obra a sus hermanos caídos.
