Abstract
Su Santidad Juan Pablo 11 en el discurso inaugural pronunciado en el Seminario Palafoxiano de Puebla, subrayó como una tarea prioritaria, además de los temas de la familia y de las vocaciones sacerdotales y religiosas, la opción por la juventud; refiriéndose a ella afirmó el Papa: "cuánta esperanza pone en ella la Iglesia, cuántas energías circulan en la juventud en América Latina que necesita la Iglesia. Cómo hemo de estar cerca de ellos los pastores para que Cristo y la Iglesia, para que el amor del hermano calen profundamente en su corazón".
